30×30 Global Assessment 2026
The 30×30 Global Assessment is the most comprehensive analysis to date of global progress towards the biodiversity target agreed by governments in 2022, and shows the world is not currently moving fast enough to reach the target, and outlines the key actions that countries must take to close the gap.
30×30 Global Assessment 2026 is an independent global stock-take of progress toward Target 3 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. This report brings together Campaign for Nature’s global assessment of progress towards 30×30 with the Ocean Protection Gap analysis, and was developed in collaboration with the Bloomberg Ocean Fund, Marine Conservation Institute, RISE UP, SkyTruth, and WWF International through the Together for the Ocean campaign.
